Check the packaging as it may state that it is only compatible with Windows 8 devices and before. It may not be compatible if the mouse in keyboard are too old. :/Īnyway, as I can't really use the gamepad at all now or even assign keys for it I'm kind of at a loss on what to do. Check if the USBs work on other PCs if possible. The trouble here is that I can't set the bow and arrow settings properly through that. This means I have to set all keys on either USB Overdrive, or in the Trine 2 menus. I can usually combine the key bindings from that program with the in-game bindings. But for Trine 2 there's some serious issues. I've been using a really great program that sounds similar to joy2key called USB Overdrive. It doesn't seem to be able to detect all the buttons on the gamepad. I can use the gamepad for all the big picture menu stuff, but assigning keys to the gamepad on there is a bit more tricky. I don't use Big Picture but I checked it out. But when the actual game starts up I can't do anything more. The mouse is basically a mound on a flat surface and I wanted a larger angle off the desk. I have up the Huge because my hand stayed in the pronated position. On pressing start on the gamepad at the splashscreen, that works. I have not tried the ceramic ball bearing replacement yet but training my index finger to control the ball did not seem worth the investment to me, because of the next reason. if it exists for mac or has something similar you could map the d pad as arrow keys from your keyboard and probably navigate the menu that way. theres a linux and windows program called joy2key. Once i configured my gamepad in steam i could use the left joystick to move around in the pause menues and main menu, much like a playstation or xbox console that had no mouse to begin with.
